Barbara Lee Cogdill

Barbara was raised in a military family and lived throughout the United States, as well as spending time in Germany. She graduated from Copperas Cove High School and Central Texas College. Her chosen career path is Real Estate and she obtained a R.E. broker’s license and has been self-employed all her entire adult life.

Barbara is an active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Gatesville. She finds such joy and peace in volunteering her time through church events and friends in need of a helping hand. She also volunteers in the prison system with ladies of offenders by facilitating the Bridges to Life courses. Sharing hope and opportunity with the ladies and assisting them in turning their lives around has been extremely rewarding for her.

She attended the Diabetes classes that were offered through Area Agency on Aging in Gatesville and truly found the class to be relaxing, informative and educational. She really felt that the instructors really cared about her and wanted to ensure that she got what she needed.

“As I learned the materials, I had a desire to share what I learned with others and felt it in my heart to become a certified instructor”

Her desire is to help teach classes in our surrounding counties so that our community of residents can act to further improve their lives. Barbara is presently certified to teach Powerful Tools for Caregivers.
