Diabetes Management

Diabetes Self-Management

Diabetes is one of the rise for all ages, but it's more common for older adults than any other age group.  Approximately 25% of Americans over the age of 60 have diabetes.  If you or someone in your family is struggling with the problems associated with diabetes, join us.

The Diabetes Self-Management Program shares evidence-based educational materials in a classroom setting.  Each session provides tools for learning to manage your disease and symptoms.

Topics Include:

  • Understanding the disease
  • Learning to manage blood sugar levels
  • Dealing with stress
  • Planning healthy meals
  • Setting goals
  • Staying active

The classes are offered at NO COST throughout our services area.
